As I was putting together my Favourite Things this month, I realized that all of them started, or sort of started, with the letter C. So many C words! But not this C word:

My friend Hannah (HI HANNAH) sent that to me a few years ago and I think about it constantly. Every time I feel grumpy or irritated, including but not limited to around the holiday season, I think I’m a cunty reindeer topiary today! It is immediately cheering.
So I guess that IS kind of one of my Favourite Things.
Nicole’s Favourite Things: The Brought To You By The Letter C Edition
Correcting The Crepe
Listen, I am a Lady of a Certain Age, and while I do not, Nora Ephron-like, feel bad about my neck, I also don’t feel great about it. I mean, it’s fine. When I smile fully all the ligaments pop out like a striated tree trunk, and it’s slightly shadowed by jowls, but in general, it’s fine. It’s a neck. Nothing is going to change those features.
But I do want the skin on my neck – and decolletage – to be as smooth as possible, and so I was influenced by a podcaster to buy this cream from Gold Bond:

I must tell you that the influencer in question is in her thirties and so I question how much crepe she is correcting, here, but I have been using this for the requisite (for me) three months, and I can say that I do see a difference. I apply a little to my stomach and lower back as well, and I really think my skin is much softer and less crepey. At the very least, it’s extremely moisturizing and also unscented, so it would probably be great for anyone suffering from winter-dry, sensitive skin.
Caffeine, Inside and Out

There are people who don’t mainline caffeine like their lives and the lives of their loved ones depend on it, and there are people who don’t wear mascara. I salute them all. However, as we all know I am an addict of both items. In addition to drinking vast amounts of coffee every day, I also like to use it in my skin care routine, specifically in my daytime undereye cream. I used to exclusively use The Ordinary Caffeine Solution, but a few months ago I bought Neutrogena’s Caffeine Undereye Cream SPECIFICALLY because I got PC points for Neutrogena products at Superstore.

Does it work? I have no idea, because I do not know what I’d look like without using a caffeinated undereye cream. But it has a nice little tingle to it and my undereye bags do not look like steamer trunks, so I will take it as a win. I do have little wrinkles around my eyes but, as esteemed beauty editor Val Monroe says, those are the least unbeautiful lines on my face.
Casing The Joint
Speaking of the letter C, my beloved Aunty C (HI AUNTY) has been gently after me for years to use a silk pillowcase, and for years I have gently ignored this advice because I am half Scottish. I already have a pillowcase! I would think, in a miserly manner, looking at the price of silk pillowcases. Plus, if you have one you have to have two, as they are hand-wash-hang-to-dry items. What am I, made of money? However. Blissy had a wild Black Friday sale, and I quickly consulted Aunty C to get her opinion on the brand. She mentioned that a couple of other brands had a better gromme count, something I have zero knowledge about, but, as she says, at the end of the day, the sale wins. I crossed the Rubicon, so to speak, and she was right: I’m never looking back.

Not only do I see an improvement in my skin and less hair breakage, but it’s also cooler, and I think we all know that Ladies of a Certain Age enjoy a bit of coolness in the bedroom. We are Hot Stuff, literally and figuratively.

Plus it comes in such a cute little box! What I wouldn’t have done for a handy little box like this when I was a kid, in which to keep treasures and doll clothes and whatnot. I have saved the boxes and maybe there will be a treasure that needs a home.
Creatine-ing a Monster
My husband and sons have used creatine “for gains” for a number of years, and I was always quite critical of this. My husband would assure me that creatine is “the most researched supplement on the planet” which is probably true, because men. However! I dug in my heels and argued against it, and my argument was an unresearched “that’s stupid.”
Well, well, well. How the mighty have fallen. Just like everything I have viewed through the Judgmental Lens in my life, this has come back to bite me. It all started when my husband started telling me about new research regarding perimenopausal women and creatine, and how many benefits accrue from its usage, including increased bone density. And that, right there, is my kryptonite. I feel that I spent my prime bone-building years neglecting my poor skeleton, if not outwardly abusing it. I have been trying very hard to make up for those lost years, and so I now grimly scoop some creatine into my morning BCAA mixture.

I’ve been using this for, again, three months, and I really have gotten stronger. The econometrician in me would like to note that it is impossible to net out the changes from regular strength gains through the routine I’ve had in place for the last five years, as I am not living a sliding-door kind of double life. However, I have noticed a real increase and that makes me and my skeleton happy.
Cardio Queen
To me, there are few things less interesting to read or write about than the details of workout routines, but I got a very fun, workout-adjacent question in my Ask Me Anything from Lindsay (HI LINDSAY): How do you select your Peloton classes? Do you plan them in advance or go with vibes on the day?
This summer will mark six years since my husband, in what can only be called an act of self-preservation, rearranged our basement in order to fit the Peloton which he had ordered for me. It is never a chore for me to do my nearly-daily ride, and that is because I have a very specific, very joyful way of choosing them: I have a backlog of “bookmarked” rides based on the instructor and the playlist. Over the past six years I’ve developed a roster of favourite instructors based on general vibes and class programming (more climbs, fewer sprints): Ally, Cody, Hannah, and the entire British team. I rarely, if ever, take classes outside of that roster. But that’s not enough – I am very motivated by music, and so I always check the playlist first. My preference are “decades” rides, specifically from the 80s and 90s. If there is a disco ride? I can’t hit “start” fast enough!

I typically have a length of time in mind based on the day of the week, and so I look at the bookmarked classes and choose one. To answer Lindsay’s question, it’s a little bit planned and a little bit vibes, but it’s always great music and a fun, usually but not always British, instructor.

Sweaty selfie! Disco ride! Strange neck ligaments! This photo has it all.
Outfit of the Month
I was toying with discontinuing my favourite monthly outfit, but you know what? I love seeing other people’s clothes and so I’m going to keep it up for a while yet.
I have a few girlfriends – Florence, Carolyn, and Darlene specifically (HI FLORENCE HI CAROLYN HI DARLENE) who wear a lot of white and they look like snowy foxes. So crisp! So lovely! And I love the way I look in white so I always want to emulate that Snowy Fox Look, but practicality must, occasionally, prevail. All these gorgeous women go about their days in white tops and even white pants, looking fresh, and I do not know how. I know if I so much as buttoned up a pair of white pants, seconds later Rex would lean against me after rolling around outside, or I would sit in something, or I would immediately spill food or drink, or I would suddenly and unexpectedly experience an epically heavy rogue period. But every once in a while I throw caution to the wind and put on a white top, like this sheer Lululemon one with a white-and-grey striped tank underneath, a grey cardigan for warmth, and jeans.

But of course I spend ages in the kitchen every day and so I try to keep things pristine with an apron; this one was brought from Scotland by my parents many years ago.

Sadly, at dinner I managed to somehow spill salsa on my sleeve, rendering the apron useless for the intended purpose. I guess one of my Favourite Things is also Oxy Clean, for such occasions.
Friends, I am taking a blog break for a couple of weeks, and when I’m back I will have news, stories, and adventures to share. Take care of yourselves tenderly, and I will see you all (C you all?) in February. xo
It’s true about creatine. I can tell you as a (female) health writer that it’s very well researched. It only works if you take it in conjunction with exercise, but I don’t think that’s a problem for you.
I have caffeine most days, either coffee or black tea or both, but I realized yesterday at the end of the day that I didn’t, so I can occasionally skip a day. No mascara for me. I wouldn’t even know where to start with it.
You look nice in white and light gray. I have the same problem with white, though, being a very stain-prone person. I still wear it every now and then, though.
Oooh that is good to know and WHY didn’t I think to ask you about it??? I don’t know but I’m happy to know it. I do take it with exercise so it seems to work well for me.
Steph, I am SUCH a stain-prone klutz. This is a benefit of having mostly black clothes, it’s hard to tell. I almost always spill something on what I’m wearing.
If I skip a day of caffeine, please check in on my family. They will not be okay!
(I’m not able to leave a comment on my own, so piggy-backing off Steph’s here.)
This is so Cool! And Classy! And Clever! And Cute!
I’m going to get that Gold Bond lotion–I love a good drugstore product!
Love those C words!!! Lol!
Drugstore products – I love them too!
I’ve been taking creatine too, and I do feel stronger. Need to pick up some 15lb weights actually, I feel like my 10lb weights are not enough sometimes.
I have a question about the crepe cream. Did you already moisturize this area with another lotion, so the improvement is apples to apples? Or are you going from nothing to something, in which case it might not matter what brand you use? My chest is SO crepey, I need to get serious about moisturizing it, but in my case it would be nothing to something, for the worst possible reason. Body cream is expensive, so I don’t want to use too much of it. WUT. Check yourself J!
I also eventually [after looking at ingredients and reviews and considering adding-to-cart] got to wondering whether you were applying something to the crepey skin with the same approximate frequency before, since I have a lotion that does definitely do something moisturizing (the skin changes texture when the lotion is applied; it is bog-standard Cetaphil lightweight Moisturizing Lotion) and is not too expensive, but if this lotion did more/longer for you than a normal moisturizer applied equally frequently, then that would be worth trying.
That said, the absolute biggest thing I could do for my skin right now would be to set up our humidifier today, since our humidity levels are abysmally low at the moment and my skin has Opinions about that…
This reply is for both J and KC!
So for decades (I don’t even know how long, forever maybe) I always applied a scented body lotion post-shower to my whole body, and I still do now for the non-neck-non-chest-non-tummy-lower-back parts, because I love a scented lotion. But the difference is that I apply this crepe corrector instead of the scented lotion on those parts. So I’m going from something to something, and I have seen a difference. If you are going from nothing to something I would guess you would see a big difference!
J, this is not an expensive product. I can’t remember exactly but for sure it is under $20CAD a bottle. I have been using two pumps a day for the past three months and it’s still a third full (the cream is very thick so a little goes a long way, particularly on shower-damp skin). So…just pick one up! $20CAD is like $13USD, and it will last you a while, even if you use it on your whole body. Go! Do it! DOOOOO ITTTTTT (I hope you have seen the Starsky and Hutch movie so you get that reference).
No to Sartsky and Hutch, though I vaguely remember the series. OK, I’m going to give it a try!
I mean, it’s not a great movie. But there is a funny part in it where Ben Stiller keeps saying Do it, do it, dooooooo ittttt
I was using creatine but fell off that habit when I stopped eating oatmeal for breakfast. What do you mix it into? I think you might be a smoothie person so maybe you mix it into that? I only drink coffee and water and can’t see myself mixing a protein powder into either! I should figure this out as I do need more protein in my diet.
Re: coffee – there was an article in the NYT about how much coffee is too much coffee. I read it and then said – well that was judgy (because I exceed the recommendations) but I don’t think I have any negative side effects so I just set it aside and with a hmmphh kind of energy. I did have to be careful about caffeine consumption when I was on higher doses of prednisone but I’m finally weaning off it and am down to 2 mg/day! Hurrah!
You look lovely in white! I am NOT in my white era. I would look very bedraggled/stained since my children love to rub up against me, sometimes with their messy little hands. But I do love winter white on OTHERS! I just need my kids to be much older for it to be practical!
I will miss you during your blog break!
Lisa, I am about to blow your mind. Okay. So the creatine says to use it 45 minutes before workouts, but I do NOT eat/ drink my smoothie before working out. Ugh, I just got nauseous thinking about working out with a stomach full of smoothie! Anyway, I’ve been using BCAAs (branched chain amino acids) for like 10 months, and that gets mixed into water. So I just add the creatine to it, just before I do my yoga. But! I have PUT IT IN MY COFFEE as well. It doesn’t taste like anything and it dissolves very nicely. The guys put it in water. It’s not like a regular protein powder, or at least the kind I have isn’t. It dissolves easily and it’s fine in coffee, completely unnoticeable.
I am NOT reading that coffee article, I am sure I far exceed whatever is recommended, but if this is how I die, so be it. At least I will have died with caffeinated joy and without stabbing anyone.
Lots of nuggets here! I depend on caffeine to function, but don’t use mascara. I started taking creatine a few months ago, but only in tiny amounts as I’m afraid it will mess with my sleep, which is precious. I occasionally use a satin pillowcase because silk ones are expensive but I might splurge! I still wake up with sleep creases on my face because I’m a side sleeper and face scruncher! And yes, those creases take longer and longer to fade during the day. I might try that Gold Bond lotion. Thanks Nicole for your tidbits! I might have to write a post entitled: Things I Learned From Nicole!
Oh, you are so sweet! xoxoxo
I am also a side sleeper and before this pillowcase, hoo boy. I had some creases just like that – also broken hair! But this seems to have really helped in both departments.
Check blissy for sales! Their Black Friday was 55% off and that felt like a semi-reasonable price. Hopefully they will last for years – I am hand washing with gentle detergent and hanging to dry. I believe my aunt washes hers in apple cider vinegar, which is probably an even better idea.
This post is Classic Nicole (I slipped a C in there). I am inspired to exercise and get sweaty today, treat my neck with more care, and start taking creatinine! (I loved that Nora Ephron book!
I do LOVE the look of white, but it’s just not practical. My son, for reasons unknown, ADORES wearing white shirts and you can just imagine how they look at the end of the day. But OxyClean really is a miracle worker. We keep a little basket of things that need to be soaked in OxyClean and once every week or so, I do a long, hot soak and they almost always come out looking amazing!
Have the BEST adventures, my friend <3
Elisabeth, you feel me! I just love how white looks and I love how *I* look in white but damn if I’m not always spilling something. I cannot even bear the thought of white pants. They would be ruined immediately. OxyClean is one of the greatest inventions of our time.
Treat your neck with care now! Then when you’re my age your neck will just be a soft, glowy part of you as opposed to the famous “old lady neck.”
The silk pillowcase looks like a wonderful luxury, and I may have to gift one to myself! I smash my face terribly when I sleep, like I’m trying to balance my whole body on it! I have never tried Creatinine, and you may have convinced me. I’m making a list! I love knowing how you choose your Peloton workouts! I will miss you terribly during your break, but I wish you a wonderful time and I can’t wait to read all about it!
Michelle, I am a side sleeper and sometimes I wake up with the biggest crease in my face – but not anymore! I also think regular pillowcases are rough on my hair and I see an improvement there too.
Peloton twinsies!!! I know you love it too. Ooooh I just did a ride with Leanne this morning, it’s her first since having her baby! It was great. Highly recommend!
I have that lotion!! I love it! I use it EVERYWHERE and especially my old lady hands
Old lady hand twins!!!
Question: are the pillowcases satin (smoother when stroked one direction vs. stroked 90 degrees from that direction) or an even weave? And if so, is it smoother from the side (stroking the long way of the pillowcase) or top to bottom (which I would imagine might slide one’s head off the pillowcase but what do I know)?
Also how *much* creatine per day has made a difference for you? I sometimes read studies and then look at supplements and go “huh, the supplement companies are dosing you at 50mg per day because it’s expensive, but the studies used 1 *gram* per day…” and I do not know what the Actual Minimum Effective Non-Placebo Dose is for the more-expensive things. (literally this week I ran across this with pectin! a study was using 15g pectin/day to get pain reduction effects when a ‘dose’ per the supplement company is… 500mg. Pectin is a lot less expensive than a lot of things, but still it is a… range… from the study dose vs. the supplement company dose)
Okay, so I had to go and stroke my pillowcase, and I will tell you that it is equally smooth when stroking the long way, but stroking up and down (bottom to top? Top to bottom?) is less smooth. So I guess that’s why my head doesn’t slide off of it!
And in terms of creatine, I just checked. I use 2 scoops a day for five days a week, and then one scoop a day for weekends (because I only walk/ yoga those days and do not do a more strenuous workout). Each scoop is 1500 mg, so I guess it’s 3 grams a day on weekdays and then 1.5 on weekends. Also I will say that I am TOTALLY a placebo-effect person, in that I always think something is working BUT the weights/ reps don’t lie, and I definitely have improved in those areas. Yes, also have been consistent for five years but the last three months have seen a much bigger/ more rapid increase in strength. (also, omg, 50 grams a day, that would be…an expense!!!)
I never thought to check my dosage. Mine is 5g, and I only take it on days that I do strength training (so 5x a week) I put it in my tea, but after I add the milk because I heard you don’t want it to get too hot. I don’t drink smoothies, or I would take it there.
Thank you for this Very Useful Pillowcase And Creatine Information! (and also for the data re: lotion above!)
I think I’m supposed to be eating a total of 45-50g of protein per day by height+weight+injury-recovery-status [but generally don’t quite get there, sigh], so I definitely would not need 50g of just creatine, but yes: dosage really affects how effective things are *and* how expensive they are, so it’s good to get a This Had Effects On A Real Person ballpark amount.
(and CONGRATULATIONS on your book coming out!!! I just visited to check for your replies and saw that there will be a new post in my feedly collection tomorrow and I am SO EXCITED!)
I have also started with the creatine and I have also noticed that I am getting stronger. You’ve influenced me to focus on health a lot more over the last year and — while I’m not doing an hour of yoga every day(!!) — I am doing consistent strength training and spin biking/treadmilling + walking the dog. I always think, “okay, it’s time for the Nicole routine.” ha! So thank you!
Enjoy your time away! Can’t wait to see what adventures you find!
Oh my goodness Katie! What an incredible thing to say. I am…I am just thrilled beyond anything! The Nicole routine! Ah, you are so lovely, thank you for telling me that. And yes, creatine actually took me by surprise at how much stronger I have become! Who knew? Other than the guys I live with, I guess. *grudgingly gives them their due*
Oooohhh . . . I’m hoping you’re going on a warm adventure because I need some sunshine news when you return! Those first two products sound good to me. I may be in the minority that a silk pillowcase sounds awful to me, esp in the winter. I LOVE my flannel pillow case because I am cold 24/7. A warm pillowcase comforts me so much! But again, I’m in the minority of never feeling hot! That is why winter is so brutal for me.
You look amazing in that WARM cardigan and like a true fashionista in that apron in your wonderfully modern kitchen. XO
You would love that cardigan, it’s super heavy and warm, which I need when I wear such a lightweight top! That said, I do not need my flannel sheets anymore. They have been retired! I used to love them back in the days when I was only figuratively, not literally, hot. I wish you could experience winter here in Kelowna – it’s such a “nothingburger” compared with Calgary, which I feel like has similar winters to where you are. Or at least it’s a nothingburger to me! Stay warm my friend and remember, spring is on its way!
Silk pillowcases are the best. My skin looks great after night on them but I struggle with the time it takes to launder them. I should get mine back out though!
What I’ve started doing is putting it to soak while I wash the rest of the sheets, and then when it’s time to put the sheets in the dryer, I rinse and hang it to dry. Then I have a second one that I just put on the pillow! My hair is definitely looking better these days!
(First, have to admit I haven’t commented in so long because WordPress locked my account and I just COULD NOT deal with it. But I finally did!) But anyway – I always say there are two types of people in the world, those who wear pants and those who don’t. I definitely don’t, and in fact don’t own anything that’s white. Who wants to do separate loads of laundry?? Since you like podcasts, there was an episode on creatine on Science Vs. which is always well researched.
Come on Gold Bond! Crepe “Corrector”? Maybe we should stop marketing to women based on parts of their bodies that need correcting. Skin moisture is always good though!
I know, I know, I don’t like that language either. But! I do like the product. I mean, I use “anti-aging” products although I absolutely hate that term. I AM PRO-AGING I DO NOT WANT TO NOT AGE. I get it! But that said, it is a super moisturizing, lovely product.
I listen to Science vs and I must have missed that episode! But I am too busy listening to Sweet Valley High recaps now to, you know, expand my knowledge.
White pants look so good on my friends. And I know how filthy they would look on me almost immediately, so sigh.
Nicole, I just love your favorite things posts! I have been using the crepe corrector for a few years now and it does really work, and it is nice to use as well. I wear white pants in the summer. I am kind of a messy, spilly person but I still like my white pants even if they are sometimes not quite as immaculate by the end of the day. I have calmed down on caffeine consumption as I get older but I still enjoy 1-2 cups every morning. But nowadays I don’t need to have it the minute I wake up. And my blonde eyelashes insist on mascara if I go out in public. But I don’t bother if I’m just hanging out at home. Enjoy your time away!
It is such a nice product! The cream is so nice and thick, yet somehow absorbs well. I am impressed with it!
I am also so impressed with your white pants! I bet they look fabulous.
Thank you so much for sharing the creatine! My boyfriend takes it all the time (he’s into bodybuilding), but I had no idea it could also help this way too. Well—to be fair, I didn’t even know what creatine was for anyways. I’m gonna tell my mom, she hasn’t gone through menopause yet but she feels like it’s time to do some strength training.
Also, idk if this is weird, but when I was a kid I always thought people got eye wrinkles from laughing too much, and how they looked so pretty. I still do! 🤍 It’s like a reward, or a reminder of that. At least that’s what I’m saying when I get mine 😂.
Enjoy your break! <3
Awww, I love that and it’s true – they are called laugh lines for a reason! I think eye wrinkles are really pretty and I’m so glad you agree. It’s the old saying that at 20 you have the face you were born with, at 40 the face you deserve. We all deserve some nice laugh lines! Thanks for the very sweet comment, Alondra. Do share with your mom because I think it makes a difference in the menopause/ perimenopause years. xo
The first C-word is probably my least favourite word. I have a friend from running and high school who loves to push my buttons by using it around me.
I have also started taking creatine last year, but only managed to remember to take it daily for the last month or so. I will need to wait to see the benefits.
Love your outfit of the month and share your fears with wearing white. I would never buy white pants for the exact reasons you mention.
I promise never to use it around you! But seriously…that is one of my least favourite things, people who love to “push buttons.” I kind of hate when someone finds it fun to “get a rise” out of people – why?? WHY???? Maybe I’m humourless but that just is mean.
Let me know how your creatine goes – I have been consistent and I’ve really seen a difference.
That’s funny as I’m wearing all black today! But I do own a lot of white shirts. It goes with everything but the issue is keeping it white all day (and not spilling on myself). I still haven’t figured out how to keep them from fading in the wash without major chemicals. I think I just end up buying another shirt, hence the reason I own so many. 🙂
I miss you and your white shirts! Also – wearing all black is great for me because I’m always spilling something!
Vacation mode, Nicole?! If so, enjoy every second of it!! ☀🤩
Meanwhile, I am deep down the silk pillowcase rabbit hole, thanks to you. 😊
I have heard about the benefits before, but your post was exactly the final nudge I needed to actually do something about it. Consider me influenced, and happily so!
Oooh do let me know how it goes! I really love mine. xo
Hmm! My daughter takes creatine every day, so we have it in the house. I guess I should try it! And… I’m with you on the neck issue. I don’t exactly feel BAD about my neck, but it could use some attention. I guess the Gold Bond is also worth a try.
We will miss you!!!!!!! Have a great vacation!
Oooh you should give it a try, Jenny! Thank you!
I’ve been re-influenced. I found the crepe corrector once while on vacation a few years ago and I never used it again. But my neck is getting a little crepey now, and if you’re noticing a difference, I’ll give it a try.
I love winter white on other people, but I never buy it for myself. You look so good in it! Maybe I’ll finally try it too.
I love it – it is so creamy and weirdly very absorbent for such a thick cream!
I am still using Olay Regenerist for my moisturizing needs, and it also works for my neck/decolletage area nicely. That product is a miracle; the night cream is lovely as well. Winter is so terrible on my/our skin!
Enjoy your time away.
Oooh Nance, this is great info – I have seen Olay Regenerist and wondered about it. I love being able to buy my skincare at Superstore! Noted!!!
Enjoy your blogging break and the adventures that will be had on said blogging break! I can’t wait to hear about them.
I agree that white looks great, even though things like the salsa sleeve spill are guaranteed to happen. Wearing white pants is an impossible standard, so it’s best to not go there.
I don’t think we have creep corrector on this side of the border but I love Gold Bond moisturizer, so if any lotion is capable of correcting creep, this would be the one.
Yes to coffee and cardio and cunty reindeers!
I think you must have it on your side of the border because the influencer who influenced me is in NYC – and it’s a really nice product!
White pants are just never going to happen for me. I’m wayyy too spill-prone!
I am laughing so hard at the cunty reindeer! I love her, and her damn attitude.
I must look into the creatine!
I love wearing white, cream, all the light colors! Did I make a mess of myself? Yes, but then I do it again, forgetting about the mess I am.
Girl, you always look gorgeous, and as far as I know, we DO need those neck ligaments, to, you know, hold UP our neck and support that skeleton of ours.
Have a great break!
Cream and white are such gorgeous looks – and damn if I don’t constantly get grubby!
We definitely need those neck ligaments – they are important! Don’t want bobble heads!
I still remember vividly Nora’s essay on the neck, hehehe… she made me laugh out loud.
I wonder if they work just like other moisturizers or anything special?!
Creatine! please explain more what you see/feel as gain? muscle? bones? I still need to be convinced.
Hi Coco! I find I have gotten a lot stronger with creatine – and faster too. So I guess it works in conjunction with strength training. I HOPE my bones are stronger as well but I haven’t had a bone density test so…
So many good things here! I’ll have to try that Gold Bond product. I wonder if it would work on legs. I always had very strong muscular legs until suddenly the skin on my thighs just gave up. Perhaps decades of running in the sun was a factor. I also assume that as soon as I put on something white I’ll spill red wine or tomato sauce. I once saw a young mom get off an overseas flight with a toddler. For some reason she had dressed all in white. Well it would have been funny (she was also covered in many different food, handprints etc) if she didn’t look so destroyed.
Aww that poor mom, been there! I mean, the Gold Bond is worth a try – at the very least it is very moisturizing!
Every time I see silk pillowcases, I think about buying them because I know they are better for our skin and hair! But I’m always worried they won’t be as cozy to sleep with as a cotton pillowcase. So, hmm. Maybe I will buy one to give it a try!
Creatine is very very interesting! I didn’t realize it was so well-researched! Maybe I’ll look into this one I’m in a workout routine again.
Blog break wahhhh. I’ll miss you!
Silk pillowcases are definitely not as cosy, but I’m not in need of cosiness these days, as I run a lot warmer than I used to!
That is really too bad that you there are few things less interesting to you than reading or writing about workout routines because I could talk about them ALL DAY and I would not mind getting more insight into yours… but hearing about how you pick out your Peloton rides was quite insightful and delightful (I also love the music rides! You’re missing out on one of the British instructors though, if you mostly do rides – which Jon Hosking does not – but he’s hilarious!
Mmh, silk pillow cases… there’s another thing I have heard of but ignored so far. Do I have to reconsider?
Hahahaha, well if you have any specific questions we could email about the workouts! I almost exclusively do rides, so I have missed Jon Hosking. I love those Brits!
