This year is SPEEDING by. Also, what is WRONG with your principal? I am deeply curious to find out how this pans out.
Seriously, this year IS flying by! I didn’t even realize that next week is March until I saw your tweet.
I am curious by two things – what is up with your school administration that they aren’t FLOODING your inbox with emails about this trip and a million other things. And two, what is this February Clothing Challenge that you speak of – I’ve never heard of it. Since our company went “casual” (which is great in one way and very, very bad in another) I feel like I am wearing the same thing every day. It’s harder to be “creative” when dressing casual, but yet still office appropriate.
Usually they DO flood my inbox…I have no idea what’s going on! For February I have been wearing a different outfit every day, no repeats 🙂
Hmm it does seem like the principal is losing ground or becoming invisible. What is up there?
Am I missing something? Why is this the last parent teacher conferences for you? For this school year? And what is the difference between parent teacher conferences and parent meetings? Seems like you think they are not adding parent meetings to the calendar in March but you are signing up – is that something different?
I cannot stand getting info about canned goods collection or a specific need like a poster board or a buddy gift of candy after I amin the house for the night. This is usually due to my kids’ lack of communication though.
I sit for one baby on Mondays. Ugh. I want to push him over to my other busy days because I miss my favorite workout class on Mondays when I have him. My friend who also sits just asked me how much I would charge her for a loaf of my outstanding Irish soda bread. I asked her to let me drop off my Monday baby 2 Mondays for an hour while I run to my class. Deal. Now I can look forward to a few Mondays!
Hi Ernie, parent-teacher conferences are for specific classes and teachers to ensure the student is doing well in school, like a check-in after report cards. It’s my last one since my younger son will be headed to high school next year and the format is different. Parent meetings are specific to the trip that he will be going on. Sounds like your Mondays are going to be great!
“Maybe I’m just a crabby bitch.” I don’t think you are, but this made me laugh so hard. I often ask myself the same question.
I’m perplexed about this upcoming trip and NO correspondence regarding it. That will not work for the mama of the young man attending the trip; nope.
I believe we (at a certain age) figure out what is comfortable for us to wear daily, and then we go with it. Luckily for you-you’re adorable, and in great shape, so we won’t see you walking around in a moo-moo dress.
I’m guessing there is some setting on your cell phone that needs to be adjusted; you should probably have one of the younger peeps in your home look at it.
I have the details after parent council last night.
Trip one meeting March 10 6:30pm
He was talking about recruiting for next academic year so retirement seems unlikely.
THANK YOUUUUU!!!!
Oh and also one more set of interviews in late April to book ?
What? Nooooo
Hold it… your son is middle school and they had one meeting about the trip with the parents? That seems a little less than you would expect. I was thinking high school.
It does seem something is up.
There have been times in my work life when I wished we just wore a uniform because I was so insanely busy that the thought of ALSO figuring out what to wear was the last straw. I totally get the group of people who wear basically the same thing every day. It’s just easier on the brain.
So we were having a similar issue with lack of communication from Youngest’s principal and then on the Friday before the three-day weekend this month he sent out an email saying he was having surgery and would be out for three weeks starting Tuesday. Uh . . . thanks for the notice? Also I guess that’s why he wasn’t really engaged in school? It’s not ideal.
AGGGHHH the sandwich bag thing would send me around the bend. I haven’t found January and February have gone fast at all – not even in a bad way, but it seems like it’s been forever since Christmas. I always assumed people who wore the same thing every day had seven identical outfits, unless it’s someone I could get near and they smelled bad.
When that kind of thing started happening with one of our principals, I think he ended up in rehab. I hope yours is just a little busier than usual. And yeah, my last parent teacher meeting was… a while ago, and I can’t say I miss them.
I’ve decided to wear a celebratory green every day for the first week of March. As I don’t actually have many green clothes, this is going to involve a lot of repetition, but I work from home so who’s going to notice?
